Displaying pictures (screenshots) in avast forums
« on: December 11, 2005, 12:57:19 PM »
I know this seems to be related to Kerio firewall, but why can't I see pictures of my own in avast forums?
I can see other pictures (from other users), avatars, etc.
Maybe it is the .gif format?

I can't see the pictures in this thread either.   No problems in the original thread.
I highly doubt this has anything to do with your FW since I use ZA.

Perhaps the image source is blocked in the firewall, perhaps it could be something in the url path that is matching some ad blocker. But that would be the same for all images that are attached (and gifs) not just yours.

A .gif format should be fine (although jpg is a smaller file size) can you see the image that attached this time, I can and I can see the original images of the link you posted.

I assume that have cleared your browser cache and tried again, have you tried attaching a jpg instead, have you tried a different browser?

The reason you can't see them Bob (I can't either) is because it is an image of what Tech sees, no image just the boxes.

Tech, DISABLE web filtering in Kerio and you will see all avatars without any problems...  ;) I believe I already told you that... maybe that PM went somewhere who knows where... gremlins again !  ;D  ;D Save yourself !  ;D  ;D  ;D

It's not about image file type or extension, but about location of the image (server). I remember Miha had problems with images uplaoded to avast! server before untill he disabled Web filtering in Kerio.

Thanks Sasha... I'm becoming to think Kerio extra features are buggy...
They're there but we must disable to get Kerio working... It's boring  :P

Good for you, MHG.  :(

I like to use Kerio 4.x as close as possible to Kerio 2.x.  So, even when I was using limited edition, which turns into free edition after a period, I disabled most of the extra features.

Tech, I think you find all of features under Web tab useless, when you are using Maxthon and Flock.  If I remember correctly, you would probably come across with some similar questions if you search on the topic.

You're right, features are present in both browser and firewall settings  :-\
Now, Kerio 'extra' features are disabled.
