Hello my forum friends...

I've been pretty busy lately with registering and firing up my own small business, and that's the main reason for not being able to visit these forums as much as I would like to... also, another wonderful thing happened... I just found out few weeks ago, I am becoming a happy father... my wonderful wife is expecting our first child.

However, few days ago I was checking some old GFX files on my Hard Drive and I stumbled upon LCARS skin GFX components. By looking closely at some of them, I found few things (errors) I wasn't too happy about. It is much easier to see all those even smallest details now since I am on my wonderful 17.4 wide screen notebook. I created LCARS back when I was still on my old CRT monitor, so it's kind of understandable.

For all those who wants to update their old LCARS skin for avast!, this is a version #2. It doesn't say anything different inside the name, just to keep everything consistent (at Vlk's old advice), but Alwil guys should update the old installation skin file (ASWCS) with this one and put some note next to the skin picture on the web page where all skins are featured. Something like LCARS-avast! (skin version 2).

I am just about to send this new installation file to Vlk, but all those who don't want to wait until Alwil guys update official avast! skins page, they can download this skin from here:

Changes are minor, and many will not even notice the difference, but I am assuring you there were some graphically related issues in the old version. I fixed everything in this version #2, so all LCARS-avast! lovers may want to update their skins.

Because you are looking at the compressed version (installation version) of the skin which has .ASWCS externsion. Installed file has .ASWS extension and it's always much larger than installation file.

Take a look in your avast! skins subfolder, you'll see it's 2.5 Mb or something like that...

Any info from Alwil would be greatly appreciated. I mean if I took some time to fix this issue, so avast! can keep its reputation of having error-less skins, there must be someone just to give some short info on update of this skin (old but as far as I've heard, most downloaded skin of all skins). Skin is also featured at Croatian Star Trek site: ::: UFPcroatia :::

This fixed version of LCARS interface skin is from now available on avast.com website - http://www.avast.com/eng/lcarsavast.html.
