Adding exe to Avast Premier White List
« on: January 08, 2016, 03:44:40 PM »
Hi there,

I would if somebody could help me? I am trying to download a windows application called https://prepros.io/. Each time I attempt to download the software, Avast keeps telling me that it has blocked this as a threat. I have spoken to the company who develops the software and they have assured me that this is a 'false positive' and that their software does not contain any threats. Is there any way that I can 'white list' the exe in my copy of Avast Premier so that I can download this app?

Kind regards,
Mark

What threat name does avast give?

It reports this error message:

Threat blocked
Object
262555.crdownload

Infection
Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]

The threat was detected and blocked when the file was created or modified.

Is suspect they do not sign their file(s) and/or use the MS VB compiler.
