Avast SafeZone

Hello,
Avast SafeZone often scrambles images and locks up my computer.
I am using Windows 10.
I am considering going back to Firefox--I had no trouble with them.
Should have left well enough alone. >:(

What exact version of avast do you have ?
Already performed a repair ?
Already performed a clean installation ?
