Hi I installed Avast pro yesterday and performed a SmartScan. It reported problems which included programs not updated Nework Issues Performance issues and Passwords. Of these Programs updates was easy to resolve. I read the Network issues updated firmware and other wise followed all steps except the one that wants me to buy more product. Under performance it reported wasted space of 853 mb and unused apps wanted to sell me product. If I thought product would be worth it I would buy product. Before considering that I used Window's clean up tools and deleted some 250 Mb of temp files. My actions on these two items should have resulted in modified results on a rescan. But there is no change when I rescan. I went so far as to do a shut down and then scan again. Results are identical. I would rather the product worked. Can anyone explain this? Help would be appreciated.
