« on: February 27, 2016, 02:41:51 PM »
Avast! currently runs once a week.  Unfortunately I am unable to remember how this was scheduled!! Can any one tell me how to set the scan to run on a regular basis please as I want to change the time it runs?

Thanks for the YouTube link. Two questions, if I may? Am I correct in presuming that the scheduling of a scan can be accomplished in Avast 2016 Free version, and if so, can its' settings further be adjusted to run while the main administrator is logged off?

As far as I know, you need to be signed on as the Administrator to make any changes.
If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.
(Since I don't run scheduled scans, I've never tried it.)

Thanks for the prompt reply. I understand fully that only a user with administrative privileges can create or alter scheduled scans. What I'm curious about is, with my own admin perks to create a scheduled scan, am I also able to have it run while I am logged off as admin, to a time frame where computer use is minimal, say, in the early AM hours, with no users logged on?
