Hello,

Please can you open Avast Safezone Browser. Then please click Avast Safezone Browser from the top left. Then at the bottom of the list, please click About Avast Safezone, and then on the page, you should see something along the lines of, "searching for updates". Give it 30 seconds to finish, then please close Avast Safezone and open, and you should see that now the issue is resolved.

Now as I'll do anything where you have explained to me before in "about safezone" and you get this attached image (image safezone_2). Pulse "start now" and closes and opens and keeps coming safezone the same principle therefore is not updated anything.

I do not know why not updated and follows me out windows update notice

I have the same issue. I've read what I can find and tried all the suggestions to no avail.

Well, that was easy. Run as admin through the command line

Hi,
you can click with right mouse button on Avast SafeZone Browser shortcut (on desktop) and Run as admin.

All these get arounds are obscuring the issue: The update mechanism is not working as intended.

The Avast team need to sort the issue out: properly and quickly.

i don't need the 'get arounds' to update the core Avast AV program and definitions, so i shouldn't need them to update SZ. And the Avast team never intended for there use, or they would have indicated such as part of the notification.

As a point to note:

i believed the update had been installed, till i again received the message saying to update.

My confusion was caused by a fix on the address line toolbar. When SZ was piratically installed yesterday i did not have the three vertical '...' at the extreme right of a tab. They appeared when i manually opened a 'Pay Zone' tab, but disappeared again when back on a normal tab. Today, after clicking yes to the update install, and SZ restarting, and in the meantime, a reboot, they have appeared on all tabs.

But 'About SZ' still tells me: "Version:   1.48.2066.44 - Restart Avast SafeZone to update to version 1.48.2066.95  Relaunch Now".

Is the problem that SZ is not updating; or, that the mechanism is failing to record that the update has been applied?

Which ever, a speedy resolution, please.
