Running avast 12.2.2276 on Windows 10-64bit.  Last night I did the Anniversary update and all went well (thankfully) but now I'm seeing that avast's "scan for outdated software"  is proposing to upgrade Internet Explorer to version 11.306.10586.0 (which is newer than the version installed).   Is anyone else seeing this?

Mine is set to Ignore. Hopefully Avast will have a fix for this soon.

Yes, I also have this exact issue.  No update for IE11 available in Windows Updates.  Secunia is telling me I have the latest version of IE11. Is this a false positive? Any idea when Avast will fix this?

Set to ignore as bob3160 has done.  Otherwise, click Refresh in Software Updater to see if there are changes.

After two consecutive days of BSOD crashes after the last avast update (8/19) this was small potatoes.  I uninstalled the product.   If I go for a week without further BSODs, I'll just depend on Windows Defender and MBAM, which is somewhat annoying since I paid for a subscription...but nothing is worth BSODs every day.

If you care to share some pertinent information about your system and any other security related software installed,

Are you using the latest version ??? https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=189836.0 and,
most importantly the latest VPS update 160822-1 ???
To update your VPS, right click the Avast icon in the system tray, Select Update then select Engine and virus definitions.
Reboot when done.

My error, your problem is known to Avast but hasn't yet been fixed.
If the notification bothers you, I suggest that you mark it as Ignore.

This should really be removed from the programs Avast detects since the updates are controlled by Windows Update.

Avast is no longer flagging IE as needing an update!  Problem should be marked as solved?
