Can anyone give me a answer to this question, I checked my e-mail order and my invoice and don't see any auto renewal clause. But I am worried I will be billed in a year for something I never used or think I needed. A  brief tale on how I was tricked into buying the plan goes as follows. about a month ago my computer Icon for avast said that my virus protection was disabled. Having internet security which I paid for I called the help line and waited the regular one hour wait time and the service rep said she would send me my license again and all I had to do was reinstall it. I asked if she could do this for me and she said no problem. So a new license was sent and she started the installation process and guess what It FAILED to install. She then said it was not the avast product and it was my windows 10 that needed to be reconfigured..funny how I did not have that problem before. She said there was nothing she could do unless I paid $179.00 for total support to reconfigure my computer. So rather than have no virus protection I paid. Then I called the avast total support line and waiting another hour for help someone came on and sent me another license and installed it in a heart beat. I asked him why the other person could not do the same thing and he answered that he did not know why. After my avast was set up again, I looked at the license that the first person sent and tried to install and then the license the second person sent me and installed and the the second license had three times more kb's they were not the same. I then knew the first person sent me a license that could not be installed so I could be tricked into buying the yearly total support, so please anyone can you tell me if the total support yearly service has a auto renewal in place? and if so how do I stop it...since it does not appear on my avast account like my internet security and my secure line.

It doesn't appear in your account as it is not from avast but from a third party.

Hi milagros4,

I am sorry to hear about your experience. To answer your question Avast Total Support doesn't have an auto-renewal feature.
Anyhow, it seems to me that it was not offered to you correctly. I suspect that you were affected by a bad update we released on July 29th and that there was nothing wrong with the license or Windows 10. I will check the calls nevertheless to make sure, but if you prefer I can go ahead and to cancel this order.

Not true. Avast Total Support is an Avast product. It doesn't appear in the account because it doesn't technically have a license to be shown there (I agree that it would be a good idea to get it listed there).

If it's an Avast product then calling it third party support is actually incorrect.  :(

Avast team poster Moroni,

If you can cancel this order and it will result in my credit card charge being returned by all means please do so, it would go a long long way to restoring my trust in Avast. I was going to switch to another virus protection after my term was up with Avast because of this, but if you can return my funds and maybe even tone down or retrain the sales people it would go a long way to keep me as a avast customer . :) Another request...your secure line should be a automatic connection because sometimes I forget to click connect and start web surfing with out it...

This doesn't turn it on automatically but will give you a warning if you're on unsecure WiFi.

I just refunded it :)
Your suggestion regarding SecureLine has been discussed several times and the outcome is always that we don't want it to be automatic. I agree that in some occasions it could be helpful, but for now we are not planning to implement it, which doesn't mean that we can't discuss it again ;)

When did I call it third party support?  ??? ::)
That's always been you guys! I once explained that the fact that it is outsourced doesn't release us from the responsibility of its operations, and that it is an Avast product advised in our official website.

Outsourced means that it is handled by a third party.

Outsourced means that it is handled by a third party.
Actually, it means they are indirect employees of Avast. Since Avast is responsible for their actions. :)

Thnx Bob for pointing me to this topic :)

That said, I agree with Eddy and won't recommend this outsourced service for now.
There were simply too many disapointments/complaints from customers about it in the past.
At least we know now that they can ask Avast for a refund.

Sure, and the entire royal family in my country are my employees as I pay taxes.
The premier of Italy is a employee of mine when I am in Italy because I buy things there.
