Email Issues

Every day when I check email there is a line below the sender information that is a preview of the email topic.  Not all but some will have the *** SPAM *** prefix and when I click on the next email that line pops up below that sender's info, and the next and the next ...................................................

I do some deletions and get rid of it for a day, but the next morning it is back. Is this a virus that Avast missed or is the program messed up?

It doesn't necessarily mean that you have a virus, but that the email is considered to be spam.

You don't say what avast version you are using ?
Nor do you say what email client you are using ?

Presumably this is only on received emails, are they from the same source ?

This really should be in the Avast Free/Pro/IS/Premier forum (or possibly the viruses & worms sub-forum if it is virus related) as this sub-forum relates to problem with the my.avast.com website.
