Threat Blocked : System21/svchost.exe
« on: October 20, 2016, 11:10:07 AM »
Hi!

I started to get an Avast pop up message telling me that the following:

Threat Blocked

Object

(Number looks like an IP?)

Infection

URL : Mal

Process

C:\\Windows\System32\scvhost.exe

What does this mean? More importantly, what can I do to solve it? I'm already running Walwarebytes and doing a Quick Scan in Avast. Will keep you updated. Is there something else I should do?

Thanks in advance!

There was a number of mistakenly blocked IPs this morning, 131.253.61.96 is one of them. Update your shields and you should be good to go ;)

Should be done automatically every ~5 minutes, but if you want to be super sure, you can go to Settings -> Update -> Virus Definitions -> click Update 8)
