Internet Connection Timeout Elapsed...
« on: February 10, 2006, 03:42:40 AM »
Continue Waiting ?

And that's pretty much everything... nothing else...

I found this thread:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=19056.0

And I found this advice vojtech gave:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=19056.msg160977#msg160977

As you can see, Show Tray Icon When Scanning Mail option is checked, and I still don't have any additional info on why is this happening...

Azureus is installed but not active at all... besides I never had problems with it before. It just started to happen all of a sudden. Timeout value is set to 600, and inside all my accounts to 2 mins.

Any idea ?

You can use e.g. TCPView (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/TcpView.html) to find out which program created the connection.

Yes I already haveTCPview and been using it quite some time by now... (since all those problems with Windows startup slowdown caused by avast!)

The weird thing is, now I don't see those Timeout messages... and it's like then every few days... sometimes, whole day, every 20 minutes... and sometimes nothing at all...

I guess I have to "catch it" doing it and then I can try with TCPview... or is there any other way ?

Perhaps lower the timeout delay from 600 to try and force it to timeout sooner, this may make it a little more regular ?

If it were lower than the email timeout it should come up first.
