In the next update i guess that the UI will auto accommodate itself to the screen.

I just don't understand why they put out this release if it hasn't been tested resolution wise.

Anyone know if the beta version will work correctly with the screen-size?

The only way I can get the cancel box to show while scanning is for me to move the windows toolbar from the bottom to the right hand side, then I hold on to the GUI top bar and pull it up so it then gives me a little more space on the GUI to get the cancel box to show, I then tab to this box till I see it is highlighted, I then let go of the upper bar then I hit enter, this then cancels the scanning.

Shouldn't have to do this of course so I hope this bug is fixed on the next stable release.

Did I read or understand incorrectly somewhere that with avast 17 FREE we would no longer have to register?

Cuz I'm sure seeing what looks like still needing to register.

Have been using this version for several days.
Some minor problems in UI are still annoying.
Especially in my laptop with 200% scales.  There is a huge black area in the UI, however all bottoms are hidden and can not  be accessed.

Well, I do agree that i need a bigger monitor, but that is only available when I am at home.
The essence of this issue is that there is such a big blank area leaving unused. (see the picture and you will understand)

There are now a lot windows devices equipped with monitors of QHD  resolutions. Most of these equipments are just laptops or tablets (10-14 inch).
200% scale is the default setting for these devices.

I guess you guys really need to consider this. (since windows defender, bitdefender and avira works good on these devices)

You don't need an email for registration anymore, you need to click a few buttons, though.

It's got nothing to do with needing glasses, the GUI hasn't been formatted correctly for small laptop screens.
