Avast! Boot Scan
«

Hi,
I've just upgraded to the latest version of Avast! AV (Free). Does it still feature the old Boot Scan? If so, where can I initiate it? Also, does the Boot Scan scan for rootkits (like AswMBR does)?
Thank you!

Yes it does - AvastUI > Protection > Other Scans > Boot Time Scan.

Hi,
avast! UI > Protection > Anti-Virus > Other Scans > Boot Time Scan
You then have the option to add specialised definitions.
You can set what areas you want the Boot Time scan to scan (by default it scans all hard disks) - this can be changed by the settings wrench icon of Boot Time Scan.

You're welcome.
It just takes a little time to find your way around the new UI layout.
