Get message about cookies, but can change settings as no three dots, so can't open gmail. What a mess

is it possible that you started the browser as administrator (or from elevated application e.g. Total commander) right after browser update?

We are working on fix of this but I am not sure if this is your case. Thanks

To fix it please delete this folder: c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\SZBrowser\profile\YOURUSERNAME
* make sure you backup your bookmarks first (Bookmarks -> Export Bookmarks)

btw. you can access settings, for example go to start page and use the bar on the left. Or use top left menu (Avast SafeZone)

Thats happen to me right now the same error from Chrome page, it's the second time that did happen I reinstalled avast completely and ASZ was working fine for few days then abruptly puff, all extensions are gone. I can't erase \profile\user because I do not have any permits.
I think it's the location of the install induce the problem, I didn't install avast in my root because I do not have more space, I'd not like return to chrome, what can I do? install avast every 4 days?

Disable the avast self-defense before trying to delete that folder.
