Avast EasyPass replaced by Passwords??
« on: March 10, 2017, 07:47:58 AM »
Hi,

EasyPass is to be replaced by Passwords and that causes problems!

As I understand Passwords is part of the Anitvirus package and NOT a standalone program. It means I can NO longer use it on my work computer since it already have company antivirus installed.

Please give feedback on this. If I really need to have the Avast antivirus installed to use passwords I will be forced to change to another password manager.... wiht ALL the trouble it gives.....I don't think you have thought about the consequences of your decision.

Run the avast installer and uncheck everything except Passwords.

Or install avast and passwords and set avast to passive mode.

If you want to use another password manager, export the passwords from Easypass and import them in the new password manager.

Hey, if you are a going to use a password program, DO NOT use dashlane.  It can be a problem to uninstall.
I have encountered that problem before.
