avast4 missed a virus

avast4 has missed this virus "Java.ByteVerfy.exploit"..
this infected file was reported infected by KAV, Nod32 and eTrust AV ..
I already submitted the file to virus@asw.cz

You will get the response probably during today. It is trojan (not virus) and there is no reason to do an urgent special update because of this. It should be included in the next regular update....

just for the info, this trojan was discovered last September and was last modified on 11/24/2003
Java.ByteVerify.exploit
Trojan.ByteVerify

I have read somewhere that this ByteVerify is not really damaging your system. But if other antivirusprograms detect it something must be wrong with it I suppose  ::)

It is  an exploit. If your Java Version is not up to date this exploit allows to execute special Malware like the "famouse" Coolwebsearch hijacker. So for me it is more or less important to add this. But if you have a Java Version which is immunized to that exploit it is completly harmless.
