Avast Free AV 17.2.2288 sound issue

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with sounds not playing in the latest version, even though I have the sounds enabled in my settings.  I have tried a repair install as well as a full uninstall/reinstall.  My PC specs are as follows:

Win7 Pro SP1 32-bit
Intel Core i7 870 2.93 GHz
8 GB RAM

I am open to any suggestions.  Thanks for looking!
