You are an avast user mastertech?
I have nothing against you using and preferring IE.
It is too hard for me, that browser.
Never bothered to make it safe for me much except denying active-x.
So, sorry if it is a real good browser, easy to get in use and all.
But you are an avast user?

Not only am I an Avast user I recommend it as the only free AntiVirus on all my webpages. I also always install it on every client's PC that does not already have a commercial antivirus program.

If I may. The whole point here IMHO is that Mastertech KEEPS coming to the forum here with his "facts" about Firefox comparing it to other browsers. I would tend to believe that maybe a one time posting of his opinions about firefox would be enough. No, he has to KEEP coming here to stir up trouble as he knows it will.
His credibility is zilch with me and I believe with most members here. I wouldn't believe anything he posted if he were the only other member here posting. That is my opinion which is my right to have. What I think would be best in this scenario is we all just don't respond to any of his "rantings", let him wallow in his so called superiority. What goes around eventually comes around. This is MY opinion and not from Jarmo or anyone else.  :)

It does have to do with the fact that Mastertech KEEPS coming back to the forum and goes over and over the same thing about Firefox. Doesn't he think that people have the ability to read about something they might be interested in without continually stating what he does about one particular browser? This is what I am talking about. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time. He needs to realize this and cease and desist his sensless and repetitive posts about Firefox.
I choose to use whatever browser I think is best suited for MY purposes. This is more than likely the way all of the members here use a browser. You posted the facts link about Firefox, good for you, I appreciate it. That should be all thats needed for people to form an opinion without Mastertech interviening.

Neal
Kindly look at the title of this thread.
Is any ones name mentioned? Since it isn't, this thread has nothing to do with personal conflicts.
A thread with that subject could always be started. (It might not last very long)
This thread simply passed along some information which I thought might be of interst.
It offered no opinions or suggestions.

If what I said wasn't so threatening to you and the few others here who feel compelled to consistently bash me personally you wouldn't post any comments about me. I will and can post whatever comments I wish about anything and YOU nor any member outside of the moderators have any control over that. The point that I consistently post to debate facts not persons and you and the few others focus on the latter only demonstrates how scared you are of me posting.

I choose to use whatever browser I think is best suited for MY purposes. This is more than likely the way all of the members here use a browser. You posted the facts link about Firefox, good for you, I appreciate it. That should be all thats needed for people to form an opinion without Mastertech interviening.
I will post what I feel needs to be said every and anytime I feel like it. I make up my OWN mind and will always help people make up theirs. Stay tuned.

Now Bob has asked that this stay on topic so please get off ME and back to the topic.

For those of you just starting to read this thread,
the following is actually what this thread was started for. ( A FREE e-book )
Most of the other posts since then have simply been personal conflicts.
Slinging mudd seems to be more interesting than sticking to the original
intent of this post.

Guys - stop this. I've at least twice deleted Mastertech's trolling and you're still feeding him.

My personal view: Since all serious security problems in MSIE were ActiveX and other browsers don't contain such atrocity, they are much more secure.

Regarding non-security things (ie. features, standards), MSIE 6 can't compare to FF/Moz/Opera at all. It's a piece of history.

I won't close this thread, but I specifically ask Mastertech and Frank not to fight here. Otherwise I'll delete this thread and give few ban(ana)s.  >:(
