Virus Definition Update Needs Restart
« on: April 21, 2017, 11:14:13 PM »
I was just working on my computer today and when I clicked on Avast to check a few things it said Avast needed a restart. Normally I'm used to this happening with a program update, not a definition update. Was there a special update that required a restart or did I encounter a glitch?

Hi.
Same thing happened to me a few minutes ago. So you are not alone to this. Just wonder why ? Maybe some can shed the light on this !

Hi,

There was an emergency micro update fixing websites blocked by the Firewall Port scan detection.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •
