AVAST STOPPED WORKING

UI Failed to Load" this error accrued suddenly, I think avast auto-updated last night since installed date at "programs and feature" shows 26/5/2017, I used the repair option and restarted the PC but it was not solved, I tried to update it responded "RPC server is not responding". I have been using avast free antivirus for more than 4 years and this is the first time I face such a problem!

when I double click on the avast shortcut this message is shown

- OS..? (32/64 Bit..? - which SP/Build..?)
- Other security related software installed..?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast..?

first antivirus used
only windows defender is also found

1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Also, when you see that screen about the service not started it is an Avast thing; it takes it's time.  Several clients reported this to me and I just tell them to click the "Restart the Service button and then go get coffee, make eggs, toast and bacon.  100% of the time when they get back it's happy again.  With several SSD's this takes about 1 minute or less, with regular hard drives it can 5-10 minutes.

If it does not start after those 10 minutes then do as prescribed, uninstall, clean, then re-install.  You will still get it, but it should start up again.

I have 39 computers to watch and maintain and some of those have Avast.  Yes, this happens also with big updates to Avast, but it will start again.
