My Google Chrome browser has been infected with mystarting123.com browser hijacker. mystarting123.com has become the default search engine and I can't even change the default search engine. It is stubborn. Every time I start chrome, a mysterious process runs automatically, which I can't even detect in the task manager. A screenshot has been attached here. The black camera-like process is the culprit most probably, and it disappears in a few seconds.
I have even tried resetting the settings of chrome, but that didn't work either.

I have Avast (free) in my PC. Avast real-time protection can't detect this hijacker. I have also tried boot-time scan with additional virus definitions, but it couldn't detect it. I have tried Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and AdwCleaner. Both of them can detect this infection, but can't completely remove it. The files that are getting changed automatically because of this hijacker are:

Web Data
Preferences
Secure Preference

All of these are located in the folder
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default

I have tried the whole procedure mentioned here: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-the-mystarting123.com-home-page
But I couldn't get rid of this hijacker.

Avast has never been good at removing Adwares and Browser Hijackers. Hope I will get a solution to my problem soon and Avast will have features to combat against Adwares and Browser Hijackers.

If not already done (it is mentioned in the guide you gave link to) you may try this first  >>  https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/
