On Screen Volume Display

i used to have a on screen volume display where i press the volume key on my keyboard and this green volume thing used to go down, now when i do it, it does not appear, does this com with windows xp or some other software, if it does can you tell which software

It probably came with your Keyboard.
Check your manufacturers website.

well i installed the software for my keyboard and it still did not work so i thought it came with windows, here's what it looks like
 
it worked for a few days and them stop working

Well, as far as I know, it did not come with Windows. It must be something that came with your keyboard or some other software program. Without more information ... or unless someone else on the forum just happens to use the same thing ... it will be difficult to say what software program this is a part of.

Did you by chance use a visualization through Windows media player or WinAmp with full screen mode in one of those? Although, on second thought, I don't think you would see a volume control with those visualizations.    :)

It looks like the volume control on a Logitec Keyboard.
I have one at home but not here in the hotel.... ;D

Labtec, is the Manufacturer and they manufacture many keyboards, check the back of the keyboard there will likely be a model number, search for that model number on the labtec site and see if there is any associated software for it or driver updates, etc.
