What's with Behavior Shield
« on: July 28, 2017, 09:29:26 PM »
:(  A few days ago, I updated to the latest version of Avast program.   Haven't used my PC since,  now I get a warning the Behavior Shield is off.  So, of course I turned it on.  Every time I did, it turned off.  Immediately...
I was going to add my new smartphone to my account.
What is up now??

Well, I rebooted first..
Now it shows it's working fine.  Running a scan now... But the scan is acting strange.  It didn't finish the scan... But it's saying it is.   I do think I will do a repair and let you know

It's a known bug that should be fixed by Avast version 17.6

@  streim
Are you still using the avast version you have in your signature ("Avast IT Security 17.4.2294") ?

If so the first step before trying any other fault finding update the program version. If not time to update your forum profile.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I already updated to the latest version of 17.5.2302.  Actually a couple of reboots fixed the problem. I honestly wasn't fault finding and hadn't updated my profile yet.  Thank you all for your help.
