Quick Scan Not Running to Completion

I recently installed Avast Free 17.5.2303.  After figuring out the many Settings (I think I have anyway), I find that a Quick Scan does not complete.  It runs for a few minutes and ends with this error message..."Some files could not be scanned.  Error: The parameter is incorrect (87)".  A Smart Scan and Full Virus Scan do run to completion with no error messages.  Does anyone know what is wrong with the Quick Scan?  This error happens in both the scheduled mode and on demand.  It doesn't matter..the error is the same.

Have you tried a reboot and new scan?
