Avast Free Antivirus bringt beim installieren eine Fehlermeldung

Hallo zusammen,
auf der Empfehlung eines Freundes hin, wollte ich Avast Free Antivirus einmal ausprobieren und dann, sofern zufrieden, auch kaufen.

Leider hackt es schon bei der Installation. Wenn ich die heruntergeladene Exe Datei (heruntergeladen von Chip.de) starte, popt ein kleines dunkelblaues Fenster auf mit einem Ladebalken. Soweit so gut.
Dieser Ladebalken rattert/arbeitet dann 5 Minuten, dann spuckt er die Meldung aus: "Bei der Fertigstellung der Installation ist ein Fehler aufgetreten!"

16 GB DDR4 RAM (3000MHz)

Ich habe bisher nur Microsoft Security verwendet, kann dieses Programm aber seltsamerweise in der Systemsteuerung nicht mehr finden (um es zu deinstallieren).

Hallo Asyn und danke,

nein, soweit ich weiß nicht. Auf meinem PC befindet sich nur der Windows Defender. Der war aber glaube ich von Anfang an mit dabei.

Laut dem Log hat das Programm scheinbar Probleme die benötigten Dateien herunterzuladen, darum habe ich mal versucht kurzzeitig die Windows Firewall zu deaktivieren. Aber das hat auch nicht geholfen

Damit konnte ich es installieren, vielen Dank. Aber es scheint hier ein generelles Problem mit der Internet Verbindung zu Avast zu geben. Ich wollte die 60 Tage Testversion für Premium starten, das hat nicht geklappt weil keine Verbindung hergestellt werden konnte. Ich wurde dann gebeten den Code meiner E-Mail zu entnehmen und  die Testversion manuell zu aktivieren. Auch das hat nicht geklappt.

Edit: My DNS was somehow changed, maybe by a VPN I used recently. A friend did helped me to change it. Now it works very well!
