Not Able to Update or Uninstall my Avast

Hello!

I badly need help with this issue.

Whenever i try to uninstall or update my avast , i'm getting this error prompt "The stub cannot run installer/updater executable c:\program files\avast software\avast\setup\sfx\avast.setup (code 0x10b)"

I tried to follow what was done on this topic " https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=168069.0 " but i did not proceed on doing the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool fix because i think the code that was put is different.

Can anyone help me with this please?

- Which Avast..? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
- Which version..?
- OS..? (32/64 Bit..? - which SP/Build..?)
- Other security related software installed..?

-It's the FREE Anti-virus
-Version is : 7.0.1506
-64-Bit OS
-Other Security Software: AVG

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of AVG..!!

Then:
1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

I'm still getting the same error whenever i try to uninstall or install.
