The only reason I used BPay instead of Paypal, is because i do not like automatic renewal systems, I believe if you want to have auto renewal that you should have that option to pick it when you are on the Paypal website
Are you sure you can't with Paypal ?

https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/i%27ve-signed-up-and-paid-for-a-preapproved-payment-agreement,-such-as-a-recurring-payment,-subscription,-automatic-billing-or-installment-plan.-how-can-i-find-it-faq1916
nb:sorry , I'm in France and links are showned in "fr"(DNS) undeed "us"
even if it was not for avast, I was able to delete an automatic renewal of another site by this way in my Paypal account

however, I completely agree, the technical support (and especially commercial) is far from what it should offer for a commercial company, with sales passing through third parts and the difficulties avast has in gathering essential information.
There are enough reports here to show that.  ;) :-[

Its still more trouble than its worth... because if i want auto renewal, i would go out of my way to select it..

This still has not solved my problem of contacting support so that i can email them directly to look into a payment problem..
It seems avoidance and lack of staff at these forums is rife ...

This is the second weekend since i posted and i have not seen nor heard from avast staff of any kind or had an email posted.. what kind of company makes it hard for their customers to contact them? to top it off, avast makes a program with an uninstall program that cant uninstall it, yet you have to go into safe mode? ..

Where is the avast staff? They are the people i want to speak to, to contact about this problem..
It is becoming frustrating, so much so, that i am thinking on just asking for a refund and going somewhere else. ::)

If i have to, I would even consider reporting them to the department of fair trading in New South Wales Australia...

If you have a paid version, contacting Avast is easy:
https://support.avast.com/en-us/contact/
Sales - Orders & Renewals https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB24#artTitle
If you're using the free version you either need to rely on this forum or use the fact section of Avast.
Apparently you aren't aware that parts of a program that are in use can't be removed unless you go into safe mode.
It isn't unusual or strange.

I ended up being able to contact support this morning my time, i ended up getting a reply to pay for the item via BPay, i replied to their email explaining  I did pay for it"

I also understand that avast uses system files, though i dont see how that would stop avast from being uninstalled the conventional way and rebooting once the changes are made.. anyway. that was here nor there..

This seems like an auto response.
Dear Drew Gibson,

Thank you for ordering from AVAST Software s.r.o.. Your order has been submitted and is awaiting payment. You have chosen BPAY as your payment method. Your order will not be available or shipped until payment has been received and processed. If you have already completed payment, please disregard this notice.
This product was paid for on the 26th of oct.. thats when the transaction was processed ...

They need to look for the payment as the wrong order number they supplied might have been put in for a reference code when paying for it via BPay.. All i am doing is waiting for the license and this is the kind of customer service i get from them??  Sorry, though this sort of thing should have been handled instantly ..

I had to do something to prove it, since i have contacted them. i have had nothing but what seemed to be an auto response ..

this is getting beyond the joke.. being a devoted avast user for years and getting no replies, no customer service .. its so funny its not laughable.

I suggest you edit your last post and get rid of your order information.
Share that with Avast when and if they ask for it.
Not here on the open forum. It's your information not everyone's.

As a one time devoted customer of avast for years, it seems this kind of treatment and customer service is something no one should have to put up with..
I wont be doing avast any more favors and once i write a review of this, it wont be a good one either..

Hi c0mpute,

I am very sorry about this. I just added a license to your account (you can find it at my.avast.com) for you to use it while we sort out the billing issue.
We need some details of the transaction, I will have someone reaching out to you by email.
