Back again and Android
« on: February 13, 2018, 02:52:55 PM »
After years of using Avast IS i left last year to try Bitdefender Total Security, which is expiring end of this month. The reason I am returning to Avast is I prefer the interface and I am also not willing to pay for an AV any longer as I feel with my level of knowledge, Avast free along with Comodo firewall will be more than sufficient.

This means getting rid of Bitdefender on my Android device and having always used an AV for my Android I am now seriously doubting any Android device needs one for day to day usage, and if anything they're just a resource hog. There is a particular feature of Bitdefender I will miss though.

What are your thoughts on AV software for Android? Needed or unnecessary?
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) SP1,
Intel Core i5-2410M @2.30GHz, 6GB RAM
AvastFree Antivirus & ZoneAlarm Free.
