When Defender gets a better rating that Avast and AVG, it's very hard to tell people that
Defender is better than having nothing. It's the long haul that will tell the true measure.

Local shop when I had something done on other PC that was complicated for myself,  Tech there was like just use Defender,  don't think will use it for long though lol,  issue was probably something simple, but wasn't  about to mess around with a newish laptop, think was overheating with dust, running fine now though
