version 18.3.2333 behavior shield shutting off
« on: April 18, 2018, 02:51:09 AM »
searching on-line I could find only references to 2017 and responses then that when new version (18) available the problem should eliminated. I have 18 and still experience the problem . I even uninstalled and downloaded "new" but to no avail.

Thanks for the Clean Install suggestion. I followed instructions and also noticed in "download" file anti virus "Avira" (!?) that I thought had been removed using Revo. I deleted that folder/file and now seem to be getting Behavior Shield upon start up. I should have been more clear that the problem was not getting BS to fire upon Start

Avira has a removal tool that needs to be run to clear the remainder not removed via Programs and Features.
You'll find it and other AV removal tools here: https://goo.gl/Gqi2JS

Sorry to report that all your suggestions for Avira removal , clean install, etc were ephemeral. The next day, and ever since, same problem : Behavior Shield does not turn on automatically at start. And I am running version 18 which all posts say/claim would stop the problem
