What spam rid software can I use
« on: January 02, 2004, 11:15:26 PM »
With Windows 2000 and free
Everytime I download one I cannot get ms outlook express to work. I am really broke so free is the only way I can go. It seems that when the change to 127.0.0.1 happens all spam fighters can not find just does not work

;DI have told everyone about this virus protector as the best there is so I do not want to give it up. Was using a paid one but when I get the money this it or when I get back to work this will be the one I will always suggest

Of course you can use OE with Spam killers... but you must have the correct configuration of the email accounts. Both SpamPal (the best for Culpeper and bbfi, another avast experienced users) and Spamihilator work great. Mailwasher does a great job for just one email account. The three are for free. More suggestions you will find here at section SPAM Tools. Other suggestions in these forums:

For Spamihilator at POP3: 127.0.0.1&username#pop3server
and at SMTP authentication: #smtpserver
I posted a complete configuration for it here. Enjoy  ;D
