Dear Community,
 ???
When a light performance avast will be released? I have heard that Avast is  going to launch the next feature with a light performance and a Lower memory consumption of ashServ.exe. is that true? I like best the avast but sometimes It is a lit bit blouted and It sucks my memories. best regards. ;D

Do you think avast on Normal sensitivity level is a cpu eater, a resource hog?
Anyway, if it becomes better, won't hurt.
Last avast version improved the boot time (logon) load up very much  ;)

avast is lighter on resources than many other AVs.
Currently my XP Task Manager shows a Mem Usage of 4,520KB and 0% CPU cycles when it isn't scanning, that will obviously go up when scanning is in progress as it is the main scanning process (a fact of life when it is working).

What is your Operating System ?
What is your systems CPU, RAM ?
Increasing RAM is relatively cheap and will improve your systems overall performance.
