Open port
« on: August 08, 2018, 11:12:20 PM »
Hello

I am currently using a modem, I wanted to avoid using a router since I live in a fairly populated area and didn't want anyone connecting or simply interfering with my connection. Even with a password, the fact that other people simply using their phone could see and connect to my network made me feel safer with a modem However, when I use the wifi inspector it told me something strange, I have an open port !

The open port adress is the same as my ethernet network, I don't know if it simply mean that this is the port from which my computer connect to the internet or it is a liability in my security.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
