MacOS has no influence on all this as it's not a direct competition (you need Mac hardware anyway). So they can delay it for 5 more months and wouldn't make any difference.

on the contrary, The Hardware is the Same  OS X just looks for a TPM Chip to identify that the computer was built by apple.

Plus if apple releases OS X 10.5 first we have a chance to poke more fun at them  ;D

afterall Microsoft is being fined by the european union not apple

Remember, daggers don't sell computers.
Price and features do. Apple certainly has many nice features
but Microsoft sure has the lions share of the OS market.
