Avast Database Notifications
« on: July 18, 2006, 03:24:46 AM »
http:// ???

Hello Moderaors/Members,

I run Win XP Pro.

Recently I had reason to to set all of avast services to manual because I was having Virus problems.  and was doing on-line scans and scanning in safe mode which required that I shut down all other applications.

However I have reset all services to automatic and have resumed the services. However I notice that the jump up dialog box no longer comes up stating  in text and voice that "Avast database has been  updated"

I have not idea what would cause this. I shall appreciate it if I can be advised with respect to how to resolve this problem.

Thanking you as I look forward to your replies.

Standeb.

Hi standeb...

If you're positive you have cured the infection, you can try performing a repair of Avast. Go to the Windows control panel and select "Add or Remove Programs." Then click on Avast and you should see the repair option in the next window.

Best Regards...
