Avast problem when trying
« on: October 25, 2018, 07:58:29 PM »
Hi,

I always have problems trying to login to my online banking account. I use guides like this one: , but when I try to load the webpage I get errors:

I just don't know how to make a screenshot, but the error is very similar. A friend of mine is using Kaspersky antivirus and he has no problems, so I thought the problem could be related with Avast.

Thanks in advance!

To do a Screen Capture:  Highlight the window you want to keep and then press Alt+PrintScreen at the same time.  Pressing Ctrl+PrintScreen will capture the entire desktop.

Next, open Paint and then click Paste.  Save your picture file with an unique name and attach it using Attachments and other options in your Reply box.

Looks to be a phish issue in your browser but we can't tell until you post the actual block/error message.

Hi mchain,

thanks for your quick reply. I managed to do a screenshot :)
Now is working fine. I attach a screenshot.

It was just a problem of my internet connexion, I was trying to use the guide in another computer without internet connection :((. So dumb... Sorry for that.

Now I managed to login to my online banking account. Thanks!

In the case of the <snip> made in the original post, seems error was reporting no internet connection (or should have) and not a failure of a secure google connection (which requires an internet connection to display).  I don't use Chrome, so I've not seen that screen when disconnected.

Glad you got it fixed and got a new trick to use; will often prove useful in the future.   ;D
