Unable to connect my Android phone to my account

There should be a 'Avast account' item in the menu but as the attached screen-print shows it isn't there. How can I connect my phone to my account?
My phone is on Android 8.1.0

I'm also unable to connect to my account on my Android device. The email said to "swipe right" to the "TOOLS tab". I tried that. Swiping right didn't do anything.

I succeeded to connect my Android phone (Android 7.0), all three applications operate well on the phone (Avast Mobile Security, Avast Cleanup and Avast Secure Line VPN).
But there is another problem: The mobile device is not included in the list of covered devices when looking at my Avast account.
Therefore one of the key function is worthless - the Anti Theft.  How can I command the mobile phone when it is lost, if this device is not visible in the Avast account at all?

The account item appears only after you connect to your account. From version 6 this can be done only via Anti-Theft. So go to Menu > Anti-Theft > set it, connect and then you will be able to see it.

Could you resend me the e-mail? We don't know where you could get these instructions, perhaps it relates to an old version of Avast Mobile Security (version 5)? Thanks.

@Tereza V.: Thank you for your reply, but I'm still unable to do it as you describe. I went to Menu, choose Anti Theft and switched it on. However I could not see any field or button to connect to my Avast account. I send now the printscreens. Of course the Avast Mobile Security app shows it is connected, but this is all. Can you advice me how exactly to set the connection within the Anti Theft function?

Try this please:
- go to Anti-Theft settings
- Web control on my.avast.com
- sign out
- relog in
- select exactly the same method for login you use on the page https://my.avast.com
- complete the login procedure
- your device should appear in My Avast

Please let me know, if it doesn't help.

Is doesn't work for me. I found where I can log in but Anti-Theft says my username or password are invalid. I did copy from my password manager just as I did to log in to the avast website so I'm sure these are correct.

This will require a dialogue with someone from Support, please contact them from within the app (Menu > Help & support > Avast direct support), so that they can check your account.
