Can't automatically deactivate VPN on trusted network
« on: January 26, 2019, 04:36:17 AM »
I just upgraded to Avast Ultimate. I previously had a paid subscription to the separate VPN app, which would automatically deactivate upon arriving at home. I can't find a setting in Ultimate that allows me to do that, requiring that I manually do so, or my internet speed will be severely reduced by the built-in VPN. How do I get around this limitation?

Indeed, Avast Mobile Security doesn't have automatic VPN activation/deactivation.
However, you can use your Avast Mobile Ultimate licence in the Avast SecureLine VPN app and use the activation/deactivation there, as you are used to (you are not limited to the in-built VPN that AMS provides).

I didn't realize that Ultimate entitled me to use the separate VPN. Thanks.
