Avast Internet Security 19.1.2360 - application update fails

Hello, I am having a problem with the above version's application update failing. The virus definitions will update, but not the application update fails. The error says "something went wrong, and the update failed. Please try again."
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, on a Toshiba Satellite A665, 64 bit OS.
I did not have this problem with the previous version.
I tried going into the Troubleshooting and Repair App, restarted and it did not work.
Using Opera 58.0.3135.68 which is the latest stable version.
Any ideas what to do besides uninstall and clean install?

1. Download Avast Internet Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Has anyone else had this update problem with the :"application update" failing while the "virus definitions" successfully updates?

There is a new program update, see https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=225096.0 you may be able to download the full off-line installation file to get the latest version, 19.2.2364.
