Vista is not the end of malware
« on: August 07, 2006, 11:06:40 PM »
Hi malware fighters,

If we thought that after Windows eXPerience, Vista would mean the end of malware, and malware fighters can take it easy and retire, we have to disappoint you:

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

The good thing is that the cure is fairly simple.  :)
One more reason why it's still in bata.

Hi Polonus,
Thanks for the article. This to me just shows there will always be a threat of Malware no matter what OS any of us use. Just a recorded fact of life. Granted it might be more secure than a previous OS but the hackers shall still be out there.  :)

It's a well known fact that you can't make a toy that can't be broken.
Just ask any Kid.  ;D

There will always be those who see it as a challenge, but more importantly those with a financial interest in being able to exploit your OS for gain that will ensure there is a place for anti-malware products.
