Virus problem (IPD.ALEXA.51)
« on: August 20, 2019, 08:45:35 PM »
My Avast Internet Security has been blocked a threat. It messages the following:

Quote
The file slmgr.vbs is locked because it is infected with IDP.ALEXA.51

Threat name: IDP.ALEXA.51
Directory: C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Temp\slmgr.vbs
Process: C:\Windows\System32\cscript.exe
Detected with: behavior analysis

Is it a real infection? What to do? Move it to quarantine or add to exceptions?

FRST logs are clean. It is Avast false postitive but it is probably caused by Windows activator. Do you still getting Avast alerts for that file?
