Does Avast support variables in excluding directories/files?

I'm trying to exclude a directory from Avast and I was wondering if it's acceptable to use variables like %APPDATA% or %USERPROFILE% in excluding files. Do I have to put the actual directory or can I use variables?

Hi,
If you are referring to Excluding certain files or websites from scanning in Avast Antivirus,
then please see this link:

If not, please expand on your question.

No, I don't think Avast supports environment variables in exclusion specification.
