Other: malware-gen [trj] - further measures needed or not?
« on: December 04, 2019, 11:37:00 AM »
Hello, i tried to find the answer but i didn't. So avast detected the problem "other: malware-gen [trj]". It is located in users/documents/Microsoft-benutzerdaten/office 2011 identities/main
The name is x27_22289.olk14msgsource
Avast says that the file is in the virus container and that i don't have to worry. Is this true?
I am using mac.
Thanks for your help

Hi VerenaMa,

Probably generic malware (term other-malware-gen denotes that), in the virus container means in solid confinement,
and can do no further harm. Don't worry, be happy, as you have avast's protection.
