M.S. should know that just because they closed their public off, doesn't mean that it's no longer available.  ;D

Hi,

I think I will be able to use the Glass effect, but I am not positive, however Sony said my computer is completely capable, and according to Intel the 915 GM chipset series (which I have) is capable of Vista. So I think I will get good performance with Vista. If I can't use the glasslike effect it doesn't really matter much because I get Windows Vista free! ;D

I can run windows Vista with no broblem...  ::)

Her configuration:

1. Intel Pentium III 700 mhz desktop
2. 384 MB of RAM
3. Most likely she has some integrated Video card inside

And yours:
1. AMD Athlon 2000+ 1.6GHZ
2. 768MB of RAM
3. PowerColor 9600 PRO EZ 256MB

Can you spot the difference ?  ::) I surelly can...

Actually I have a GeForce 2 card with 64MB of VRAM

Justin, How do you get vista for free?

Hello Summoner Yuna !

Yes, external video card with 64 Mb is much better than some integrated video card (built-in motherboard), but still... considering your processor which is not that fast and amount of RAM which is pretty low, plus only 64 Mb of memory on your video card, I'm pretty sure you would have some difficulties running Vista smoothly. Vista is very graphicaly demanding OS... a lot of nice effects, bells and whistles, but price must be paid. And the price is: lot of RAM, fast processor and good video card, at least 128 Mb recommended and DirectX 9 capable.

As RejZoR already mentioned... it is not the question if your computer will be able to run Vista, because most likely it will be able... but, the question is, is your computer going to be able to run Vista smoothly allowing you to see all those nice effects that comes with this new OS.

Cheers!
