AVAST FREE INSTALLATION STICKS - all similar threads checked
« on: January 12, 2020, 02:08:53 PM »
Avast Clear has run - all traces gone.

Running offline version (or online version), it sticks and doesn't complete. I've checked all similar threads.

Only have Defender (off) & Malwarebytes.

Only installing because I used System Restore, and following this, it wouldn't work.
It hasn't yet listed in Programs & Features. Windows 10.

If you've used avastclear.exe in safe mode and rebooted the system, Defender should now be on.

Thanks for your help, Bob.

All my passwords are in Avast's cloud. I have the passwords app on my phone, but it's a nuisance having to keep getting lengthy passwords from phone to laptop.

They need to provide the registry entries which need changing to completely remove it, as Avast Clear mustn't have done it.

It's a bit much to store all your passwords, then not allow you easy access.
