Network scanner not alerting you

After the first scan, it asks you if you want to keep monitoring the network and be alerted when a new device connects to it, but then it doesn't do that. You have to re-scan manually to find any new devices, and still no alerts.

Not that only, sometimes it can't scan the network i am using..but I have no problem with that. I don't want a fix.
