Avast will not allow system to sleep
« on: May 14, 2020, 04:49:36 PM »
I have a Quick Scan scheduled for every morning at 7:15am (Full Scan on Sunday). I have my power settings such that the system goes to Sleep after 1 hour of inactivity, so at 7:15 my system is in Sleep mode. Avast seems able to wake it up as the scans have been run correctly, which surprised me, but I was glad it did, until I noticed that after the scan runs the system will NOT go back to sleep. The Quick Scan dialog box is always open when it completes, but I am surprised that fact causes the system not to go to sleep. Is there something I can change to fix this issue ? I do not want to use Shut down computer after scan finishes, I just want the system to go back to sleep.

Hi,

In Win 7 (Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings), what is your current Power setting?
