Paid for something I unsubscribed to
« on: August 29, 2020, 12:49:59 PM »
Today my girlfriend is coming back from work, from UK. She didn't like it there, so I thought to surprise her with a dinner out. Oh yeah, she also comes today. Now imagine my surprise when I get a message that I paid half the sum saves for this dinner, to avast, for a product I unsubscribed to 7 days ago. Even more, my account is in EUR while I was taxed in USD so I had to pay conversion rates too.

Thanks a lot avast :), the dinner which us unlikely now to happen or it will be at a MC Donalds instead of a restaurant will be amazing  ;D. Also you do know how to lighten up someone's day by taking money from them for something they unsubscribed. A week ago. Sweet sweet avast  :)

Screenshots as proof of the amazing beautiful surprise avast made me. Oh, and I requested a refund, I will get it in 7 days. I mean, why would someone use money saved for a special occasion today? Pfff, better in 7 days when it is a plain old common day.

The same thing happened to me today too. I checked my bank as I normally do and there were 2 withdrawals by Avast on my statement each for £39.99 so a total of £79.98 out of my benefit money (I'm a carer) which the governement gives me and my wife to live on. The same thing happened last month and afterwards I made sure I'd unsubscribed....so why Avast? Why has the same thing happened again?

That money was paid into my bank account to live on this week...not in a weeks time. So therefore you are breaking the law.

I am fed up with having to fill in request forms to get my money reimbursed, I will therefore be seeking legal advice in the morning. I've also taken screenshots not just of my reply here but of the same things that have happened to so many other people......this cannot keep going on.
