How to add multiple URLs to the Blocked Websites list
« on: September 05, 2020, 03:43:58 PM »
I want to add a list of websites that I want to block by Avast,
but because of the list of websites that I want to block, there are about 60 more. is there no way to add them all at once ??
because it is very inconvenient if you have to add them manually one by one

Why do you have such an extensive list that needs to be added?
Have you checked to see if those sites are already being blocked by Avast?

With such an extensive list, surely it would be better to use the HOSTS file to block access to them and have them diverted to 127.0.0.1 your local system LocalHost - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Localhost
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

sometimes some websites & file hosting that I usually visit have pop ups to other websites (usually coz advertise on that site/file host).
so I want to block these sites so as not to overload my internet network. and also sometimes those sites have script malware.  :)

Thank you for the advice  :)

Sounds like much of this could be handled by using browser add-ons to prevent 3rd party content (stuff from other sites) on the site you are viewing.

Firefox has a Privacy & Security in its browser Options, this can block some of this 3rd party content/access.  You could also use uBlock Origin and uMatrix add-ons.  However you don't want to be too strict as it can impact your browsing on the main site.
